Petersen Automotive Museum - 2005

On January 8-9, 2005, I was up in Long Beach helping my friend Jim work on his kitchen remodel and we decided to go to the Petersen Automotive Museum for a break from the work. Jim had reminded me that there were a couple exhibits that I wanted to see. One is the French Curves exhibit featuring expensive French designed sports cars of the 1930s. The second is titled Vacationland USA and features camping and travel displays including several vintage trailers, boats, cars and trucks along with a variety of camping equipment.

The French Curves exhibit runs until January 23, 2005 and the Vacationland USA exhibit runs until April 5, 2005. The Petersen Automotive Museum is located in downtown Los Angeles and is a great place to spend an afternoon. Their static displays are very nice and they usually have new special exhibitions every 6 months or so.

Unfortunately since I hadn't planned on going to the museum, I did not bring my digital camera that takes good pictures indoors. Many of the pictures I took just didn't come out well but the ones that did are shown below.

On March 13, 2005, I returned to the Petersen for the new Musclecar exhibit. Some really beautiful cars were on display. This show runs until June 5, 2005.
